New module added to e-Pain

A new module on musculoskeletal pain has been added to the popular Pain Management programme (e-Pain).

The new module contains six e-learning sessions that cover a wide variety of subjects, including:

  • osteoarthritis
  • osteoporosis
  • stratified care for low back pain
  • sciatica
  • inflammatory arthritis
  • supporting people to stay at work or those returning to work

e Pain2The e-Pain programme focuses on educating healthcare professionals in how to diagnose and manage pain safely. It is aimed at practitioners who are not pain specialists but who care for patients suffering from acute, chronic and cancer pain. Learners include hospital doctors, medical students, nurses, paramedics, clinical psychologists and primary care practitioners.

e-Pain has been developed in the UK by the Faculty of Pain Medicine, of the Royal College of Anaesthetists, the British Pain Society and Health Education England e-Learning for Healthcare.
